Alyssa is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) who specializes in working with individuals, couples, and families. She earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Alyssa has extensive experience working with adult and childhood trauma, relationship concerns, infidelity, depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, and self-esteem.
She tailors her therapeutic approach to her clients and works to provide a collaborative and authentic experience. Her approach to therapy focuses on using the mind-body connection to promote healing and increase quality of life.
Alyssa trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), using it to help clients of all ages reprocess traumatic and distressing life experiences. Alyssa is also trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a systemic approach that helps couples repair conflict and deepen intimacy. She utilizes a systemic, strengths-based framework to help individuals develop their “best self” and have more fulfilling relationships while tapping into their inherent resiliency.
