Karyna Spence, LCSWA
Karyna is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSWA), having earned her master’s in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is passionate about working with clients and championing their healing!
Specializing in working with adolescents and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, and grief, Karyna uses a person-centered approach and eclectic modalities to tailor treatment to each client. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), along with other strengths-based and collaborative approaches, inform her practice.
For several years, Karyna has practiced social work in various settings such as community mental health, primary care, and youth residential treatment. As a result, she is particularly passionate about working with individuals who have been involved in the child welfare system or who have experienced adoption or guardianship.
As a therapist, Karyna desires to be an authentic, empathetic, and safe presence for clients to process through thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She hopes that through collaboration, clients will be able to gain insight and implement healthy coping strategies that will help them overcome obstacles and increase resiliency.
