Ann Parke Godwin, LCMHCA
Ann Parke is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults. She is passionate about working with girls and women across various stages of life including adolescence, young adulthood, and adulthood. Her areas of interest include self-worth, anxiety,
depression, relationship issues, life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum, and body image.
As a counselor, Ann Parke takes a warm, person-centered, and collaborative approach. She believes therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest about what’s going on without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. She draws from modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and strengths-based work. Her goal is to help clients better understand themselves, feel more comfortable in their ability to handle life’s challenges, and feel more connected to the life they want to build.
Ann Parke earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree in counseling from Wake Forest University. Outside of work, Ann Parke enjoys trying new recipes and spending time with her friends and family.
