Erin Haley, LMFT
As an experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Erin treats trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, complex PTSD, and dissociative disorders, among other diagnoses. She has worked at all levels of care in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including telehealth. She currently is only seeing individual clients.
Erin’s work is guided by the concept that human beings are wired to heal and that we are not what has happened to us. She recognizes that mental health symptoms and unhelpful behaviors are there for a reason and often develop as a way of coping with and surviving difficult life circumstances. Erin believes that change starts within the safety of the therapeutic relationship and that, together, we can find out what is getting in the way of creating the life you want to live. She uses humor, kindness, compassion, knowledge, and curiosity to partner with clients and support them to find their own resilience and path to healing.
Erin draws upon a variety of modalities and theories, including Clinical Hypnosis, Ego State Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), family systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic (body-oriented) approaches, and Health at Every Size (HAES). Erin is affirming of all genders and sexualities. She is a current member of the international association of EMDR practitioners (EMDRIA), as well as the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISSTD).
Erin earned her Master of Arts from Antioch University in Los Angeles and her BA from Pomona College in Claremont, California. She finds joy in reading, her cats, chasing after her young child, hiking, making things, and spending time with her family and friends.
