Ashley Dunn

Ashley is dually licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. Ashley holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University and she is trained in Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). She has served children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 15 years as a counselor, advocate, therapist, and more. Ashley remains in tune and socially conscious, involving all walks of life.
Ashley’s therapeutic approach is holistic, warm, collaborative, direct, and sprinkled with appropriate humor. She strategically draws on various therapeutic models to target her client’s specific needs, values, and goals. She integrates techniques to promote Whole Person Wellness within each of the eight Dimensions of Wellness; Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Intellectual, Occupational, Physical, Social, and Spiritual. In this way, she provides individualized care to meet each client’s unique needs while recognizing that everyone functions as part of a more extensive system.
Ashley has an undeniable passion for working with people in their personal growth and recovery and meets her clients wherever they are on their journey with genuine and compassionate care. She is invested in establishing a solid therapeutic relationship with her clients as she believes this is the most imperative aspect of the therapeutic process. Taking an evidence-based, client-centered, and existentially informed approach, Ashley works with individuals from various backgrounds and takes particular interest in working with parent/child dynamics, women’s issues, foster care/adoption/reunification therapy, family therapy, entrepreneurship, self-harming behaviors, addictions, domestic violence, youth transitioning home from a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF), and individuals navigating through the legal system.
