Jessie Fitzgerald, LCSWA
Jessie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) who works with children, adolescents, and adults navigating a wide range of life experiences, challenges, and transitions. They believe that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, client-led, and grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship.
Jessie strives to create a warm, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, exploring what matters to them, and working toward meaningful change. They approach their work from a trauma-informed perspective, recognizing how past experiences shape how people understand themselves, relate to others, and navigate the world.
While studying social work at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Jessie gained clinical experience working with children experiencing severe behavioral challenges and OCD, as well as queer and neurodivergent adults, including individuals with ADHD and autism. They also have experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma and with clients navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, identity, relationships, and life transitions.
Jessie takes an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). They also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches depending on each client’s needs and goals.
As a queer and neurodivergent practitioner, Jessie brings both personal understanding and professional experience to their work with clients from diverse backgrounds. They value creating an environment where clients can explore their identities and experiences without judgment and where differences are respected rather than pathologized.
Outside of the therapy room, Jessie enjoys painting and wood burning, spending time in nature and hiking, exploring new places, and spending time with their pets.
