Jennifer Martin, LCMHCA
Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who offers therapy to teens, adults, seniors, couples and families. She received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Bonaventure University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Canisius College. She has served people struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, attachment, dysfunctional family systems, grief/loss, LGBTQ+ community, life transitions or stress, substance abuse, and ADHD.
Jennifer is a certified yoga instructor and mindfulness coach with over 15 years of experience, and is able to incorporate these elements into her counseling upon request. Her clinical approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief Solution Focused Therapy (BSFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She provides a holistic, strengths based, person-centered approach and offers a judgment-free ear to listen and support her clients.
Her message to clients is: Sometimes, life points us in a certain direction or brings the right people into our lives when we are feeling lost, confused, or alone. In a time of need, these people can offer kind words, a listening ear or a gentle hand to help guide us back to our own inner strength and wisdom. I would be honored to be that person for you.
She relocated to the Raleigh, NC area in 2021 from Buffalo, NY. In her free time, she enjoys the company of her husband, three children, her golden retriever, and her two cats. She loves being in nature, near the ocean, walking, gardening, or just sitting in the sunshine with a good book.
