Donna Supple, LCMHCA, CRC

Pronouns: she/her, he/him

Donna, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in 2024. She’s worked in many settings, including being certified as an EMT and working several years as a barista developing a passion for coffee.

Her counseling areas of interest include chronic pain and disability, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and kink and non-monogamy. Additionally, she finds that coping with trauma, grief, and the stress of socioeconomic disparity are recurrent topics of counseling across her work. Donna uses a Health At Every Size (HAES)orientation and affirms both body-positive and -neutral approaches. Her genuine, warm approach balances rich depth with irreverent humor and validates all life experiences, trajectories, and aspirations with nonjudgmental, unconditional acceptance.

Previous work in vocational and medical settings informs her current counseling approach as an advocate for disability justice, especially as it intersects with other axises of oppression. Donna understands that many people may hesitate to engage with the psychiatric and mental health industries for legitimate reasons, and her counseling philosophy strives to acknowledge and address these concerns.

When Donna’s not working, she spends her time painting and drawing, writing books, visiting local parks with her wife, studying in pursuit of Zen ordination, and drinking too much coffee.
