Gregary is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA). He attained his master’s degree in counseling at North Carolina Central University.
Prior to that, he had a diverse career including experience working in state government as well as Fortune 500 companies. He worked as a school counselor, family mediator, and a therapist for kids, teens, and adults.
Gregary understands the many universal challenges life presents, while also honoring each person’s unique experience. To empower clients to overcome these challenges, Gregary uses a holistic, integrative, and strengths-based approach. He incorporates mindfulness therapy, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing therapy (MI), person-centered therapy, and creative approaches. He is LGBTQIA+ affirming, multi-culturally competent, and aims to assist each client to become the best version of themselves.
Gregary establishes a collaborative relationship with clients and promotes an environment that is safe, non-judgmental, and therapeutic. He believes this is the cornerstone to a successful therapeutic relationship. He is able to help clients struggling with problems like anxiety, depression, addictions, relational issues, emotional regulation, grief, loss, and trauma.
Gregary describes himself as compassionate, reflective, curious, and a lover of life. He is a skilled tai chi practitioner and loves nature, travel, sports, and the creative arts.
