Sheetal is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) who has attained her Master’s degree in counseling from North Carolina Central University. She takes an eclectic approach in therapy, mostly drawing upon humanistic, psychodynamic, and CBT treatment modalities to address each client’s unique concerns. Her relational and collaborative approach to therapy helps foster safety, freedom, and growth at a pace that is comfortable for each client.  She believes in a mind/body/spirit approach to her work and utilizes various interventions, including somatic therapies, through a trauma-informed lens to empower her clients towards healing and wholeness. Sheetal is also certified in EMDR from an EMDRIA-approved training program.

Growing up in a multicultural, multigenerational family, Sheetal understands the joys and complexities associated with such a dynamic. She is passionate about empowering clients to reimagine and give voice to the stories that reflect who they authentically are, especially in the face of social norms they may find limiting.  She believes in supporting clients in cultivating their creativity as an adaptive strength for both facing life’s challenges and finding life’s joys. She has worked with diverse racial, gender, and sexual identities utilizing a social justice lens. She has supported individuals living with depression, anxiety, low self-worth, PTSD, physical and sexual abuse, grief, relationship challenges, and the unpredictability of life. Sheetal is passionate about helping clients experience the healing they are inherently worthy of and would be honored to walk-alongside with you in this journey.
