Mandi Cooke

Mandi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and has been practicing therapy since 2019.  Mandi has broad social work and therapy experience including private practice, child welfare, social services, community mental health, hospice, homelessness, Veterans’ services, and in-patient mental health.

She finds fulfillment in working with adolescents and adults dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and life transitions. Mandi employs evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), emphasizing a person-centered style that recognizes the strengths, uniqueness, and potential of each client. She places great importance on building a collaborative therapeutic relationship and providing a non-judgmental space for clients to express, explore, and process their thoughts and feelings.

Mandi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from N.C. State University, a Master of Social Work from Florida State University, and graduate certificates in play therapy and substance use. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dogs, hiking, listening to music and podcasts, supporting the Carolina Hurricanes and N.C. State Wolfpack, and spending time with family and friends.
